Thayet led the way to the guest room, moving quickly through coridoors and hallways. She checked once or twice to make sure Ayra was following, then rushed onward. It wasn't too long before they reached the guest room, and Thayet pushed open the door to reveal it.
The sight to Thayet wasn't much, but to any commoner, it would have been a feast for the eyes. The bed was king sized, with thick green curtains hanging around it. The walls were painted in golds and greens, the bed frame of dark oak. Two large windows alloud light to flood into the room, illuminating it with a cheery demure.
The bedroom itself was large, but it was not the only room. Adjoined to it, was a bathroom, also done in golds and greens. A bathing basin lay in one corner, and hangers held thick green towels, looking soft and fluffy.
Opposite that was a sitting room, with chairs, their fabrick green and gold, the walls painted a dark hunter green. Bookshelves and desks lined the walls, and there was a fire place off towards the back.
Next to that was a small kitchen, with a counter, a table, and some chairs, painted in a paler green, and many windows allowed light to flood through.
"go ahead and make yourself at home" Thayet offered, stepping back to allow Ayra entry.

Ayra walked slowly in ecpecting to see a plane room white walls and a small bed. But when she had seen the room she had never thought it possible to leave. It was gourgous. She was at a loss for words. When her mind took hold on the situation. She said in a near whisper "are you sure you have the right room?" Ayra's eyes where filled with glee she normally slept on the ground hardley ever on a bed. But this was magical she never thought there could be a room like this ever. She walked slowly in takinf in the vibrant colours. "This...This is magical" Ayra laughed as she sat on the bed.

Thayet smiled, caught up in the girls sheer happiness. It was clear that this girl had never stayed in a royal suit before...but this wasn't surprising, as few people had. "I'm glad you like it" Thayet chuckled, watching Ayra as she swept around the room, landing on the edge of the bed. "I'll let you settle in. I'll have someone come in with some clean clothing for you later." Thayet smiled, and cast one last lingering look at the joyful girl, then swept from the room, and swiftly headed off down the hallway.

"Of course I like it! Its magnificant!" Ayra said smiling. She ot up again and walked over to the door. "Okay thank you" Ayra said gently She looked down at her clothes. She found them fine she hadn't ripped them yet sehe only changed clothes when she needed to. But she would listen to anything said from the Queen.

Not long after, a scullery maid cautiousley aproatched the door, a dress made of green cloth draped over one arm. It was a beautiful dress, made from a soft, almost velvety fabric, good for staying warm on the cooler days of spring without needing a shawl or petti-coat. The neck was low, and the stitching was done with black thread. The green was a deep rich green, and the sleeves were long, and the dress had a small train trailing out behind it.
The maid was slightly nervouse to actually present the dress to whom ever was within the room. She was made to be cautiouse, as often the guests who stayed in the guest suit were quite the opposite of nice. Her timidness of course was not necessary, as for sure she would be treated fine by the mistress within. At least, this was what the queen had told her. And, not that she didn't trust the Queen, but she had heard tales before. And the tales weren't all pleasant.
The maid was young still. Only just nearing sixteen. She was dark-haired with fair skin, and her eyes were a soft brown. She was quite petite, though she had filled out nicley since she had arrived at the palace. She had come an orphan, malnourished and lost. Most can still remember her hollow eyes and thin face, skin weathered from the harsh conditions she had been forced to endure. But, she was looking healthy now, and had grown so that she was no longer considered a mere child. She was a young woman.

Arya heard a slight knock on the door. She opened it up and looked to the girl. "Oh, hello. I see you have brought me a dress" Ayra said smile on her lips her cheeks a rosey red. "It is a very nice dress don't you think I love the green and it goes very well with the black stiching." Ayra said looking over the dress that she had rudely pulled from the girls hands. "Thank you its very nice" Ayra gently noded as she put the dress on the bed.

The girl simply nodded and voiced 'yes ma'am' as Ayra opened the door and snatched up the dress. She smiled sweetly, and watched as the dress was layed out on the bed. But, she didn't leave yet, as she hadn't been dissmissed. Often, as was her job, she was told to hang around and clean up around the room or help the mistress dress. Often, however, she was just rudley dissmissed. So, she would wait to see what she was asked to do, then oblige without question.
Being trained by some of the older maids, she had been taught to always do as you're told. Otherwise, it would end up with you being fired, or worse. The girl would have obeyed the royal palace dogs if the could talk. She was often very quiet, but had a couple close freinds within the castle. She liked her home, and was content with her possistion in the castle. She was given a room to stay in, and wonderful food, and so she, and the other staff, were content.
As the maid serveyed Ayra breifly, (not letting her eyes linger too long as staring was considered rude), she decided that the other girl was quite pretty. Infact, she had the sort of beauty that you do not find in the human race. Perhaps she was an elf? the girl had never met an elf before, and she considered it an honour. But, she tore her gaze off the maiden, and stared contentedly at the floor, and asked no questions. she would wait quietly for instruction.

Ayra smiled breifly. "Thank you for bring me the dress" Ayra said. "I think I'm good form here on in" Ayra said startled that the girl hadn't left yet. She waited for the girl to close the door and leave so she could get undressed.

The girl smiled, bowed, and slid from the door way, closing the door, then rushing off down the hallway. She was releived to have been dissmissed, and had taken the chance to leave before the mistress changed her mind. She had many other duties to attend to, and would rather be working in the kitchen than dressing a girl. She found it foolish that they couldn't seem to dress themselves anyhow.

Ayra looked the dress over. Then picked it up from the now wrinkeled sheets she turned it over and placed it back on the bed. She slowly reached her hand to the back of the dress and undid the knot holding the dress on her body. It slid down to her feet. SHe stepted out of the clothing around her ankels. She picked up the new dress and pulled it on to her self. She tied it delicatley being carful not to rip the material. It was on. She walked over to the mirror that was the lenght of her body. She liked the fitting and the colour. It fit nicely around her tiny frame. And the colour greatly complemented her eyes if she said so herself.

It wasn't too long before the same girl whom had come with the gown, appeared again at the door. This time, she had in her hand a thin slip of parchment. scribbled on it was the neat, tight scrawl of the Queen - Thayet herself. The girl lifted a thin arm, and rapped gently on the door with white knuckles. She waited for a reply, holding the paper gingerly as though it were fragile - like a butterfly - and would at any moment fly away.

Arya's eyes quickly went from the mirror to the door. She slowly moved towards it the dress moving with her. She opened it again and looked at the girl yet again. "Hello again" Ayra said. Her hair was now some what neater then befor as she had spent some time trying to fix it. Ayra saw the piece of paper but took no actions in it.

The younger girl stared blankly up at Ayra, thinking how pretty she looked in the green dress, hair neatly combed and parted. The girl found herself wishing that she could dress up as so, and attend afternoon tea in the palace gardens with the queen (as she suspected the girl, Ayra, was about to be attending herself)...but then again, the fantasy was only prominent in such times as now, and only moments after would fade off into reality. She was a scullery maid. Her job was good. She would not trade her life for that of another, and so she was contented.
This settled, the girl's eyes managed to find again the white slip of parchment, and she hurriedly, with a jerky shove of the hand, presented this to Ayra, offering it to the other girl to take. She downed her curiosity of what the letter read, longing to read the tight, neat script that crawled out across the rich creamy paper, ere, she couldn't actually make out script, as she had never obtained an education. This was, perhaps for the better. Should she loose her job, and need to marry in order to stay on her feet, the only thing that would marry her off would be the fact that she had no education, and that she was slightly pretty. This was sad, but it was fact.
Even though the girl couldn't read the letter, the message, to the trained eye, read the following.
Ayra- if it should strike you as an intriguing idea, you might join myself and some friends for tea in the gardens. This time, of course, you would be presented as a friend, rather than a criminal.
hope to see you soon,
Thayet
The letter contained a slight drift of humor on the queens part. It had been formated in a more, should we say, formal format, though this was also for the whole fun of the false formality of the event itself. She had written it lightly, in her usual neat script, with the thought in her mind that, of course, the girl probably would be joining them for tea. This pleased her.

Ayra smiled gently andtook the peice of paper. She opened it up carful not to rip the paper. She quickly scanned over the words. And nodded. She had never been to tea with any royalty she had barley ever drank any. But she though it as an intresting idea so she decided she would go to see what it was like. "Could you please tell the queen that I would be glad to acmpanie her" Ayra asked. She would have to tie her hair up to make herself look more presentable but that wouldn't take long.

The girl solemnly bowed her head and ducked from the room, dark hair falling to obscure her view. The only sound was the slight patter of her feet as they hit the pavement, bare as the warmth of the current season allowed. She blankly wandered the hallways, until she was able to deliver the guest's message, then was content to make herself useful in the kitchens for the remaining hours of daylight, until night would befall on the kingdom, leaving it in a silent stupor.
ooc: short post...ah well.
