Name: Jenell Marionette Crystaldown
Gender: Female
Age: 25
Height: 5"4'
Race: Faerie
Physical Description: Deep liver chestnut brown hair that falls to the middle of her back, usually seen up in a braid though many think she looks better with it down. Her warm nearly black brown eyes show little of her emotion. Her frame is delicate, as if a wind could simply blow her away, but she has more strength then it appears. Her hands are small, and they reflect her silver blue wings that are barely large enough to keep her aloft
Personality: Many people have tried to place her personality into a group, only to fail miserably. Jenell can be incredibly happy one moment, then get really quiet and thoughtful the next. She isn't often relaxed around men, due to the problems of the past. Yet if someone proves she can trust them, she'll often turn to them her heart. Not one to display outbursts of emotion shes a friendly person if you can get past the exterior struggle. Many consider her cold and distant, but she really isn't. She only seems cold because she'd afraid, and she'd rather distance herself then hurt someone else. Its hard to consider her selfish, as she'd rather die then let a friend be in pain. Its getting to be her friend thats the hard part.
Specialties: Fire elemental abilities, Healing and a bit of war craft
Weaponry: Bow and arrow preferably, can use a blade a bit, but usually has a pair of daggers strapped to her inner wrists.
History: Jenell's been in the public eye since birth. Born to the King and Queen of Rithral she tends to prefer traveling. Growing up among humans for her own protection, she's since been trying to find a way to stabilize herself in the court and with those she's deemed friends. Ever since learning she was the destined Healer of the realm, she's held herself back. Well she's at the age where many of the court girl are finding young men to love, Jenell won't even stay in the same room with one.
Many wonder the reason, because everything possible has been done to keep the public from knowing the whole truth. When she was only thirteen her people were desperate for allies. So she allowed her parents to try and arrange a marriage for her. A mistake as it turned out.
A year went by, in which six possible arrangements broke up. They never really gave exact reasons, but those closest to her knew it because of the way she dealt with things. That and the fact she wasn't a simply noble girl who would hang back when battle was being done on her borders.
And then the seventh came. She refuses to speak about the incident with anyone, even those closest to her. No, nothing happened to her, but it was enough to scare her. Her faith and trust has been lost since, and theres little chance of anyone breaking through her in time for her life to spared for the prophecy that relates to her, and the magic in her blood that will tear her apart.
The truth that she''s desperate to keep hidden? The full of it stretched back to when the Power of the world was Corrupted by the designs of shadow. That Corruption was gathered into one piece of magic, a piece of magic that had to be destroyed in order for a true Healing to take place. Of course, for a piece of magic to be born, it must be done subtly.
Jenell's mother was barren when the girl was born. Very few know that fact, and Jenell doesn't tell many people that her birth is far from natural. Those closest to her don't even know the entire truth of the matter. The truth that it has to be her death that will bring true healing to the world. For that corruption was given a magic form, bound forever by light so that the temptations of shadow would not reach it. While the shadows have tried and tried again to drag the unwilling power into itself, to abuse the strength that lies under the quiet exterior the light chains have held the magic fast.
She isn't even a true physical being, rather a magical one, much like Cal. But in the single essence of truth, she cannot feel emotion, or even pain. Its not that she can't for people, but she cannot love, can never know a home. Only when she's bound by iron can the girl feel any true pain at all, discomfort perhaps, but those situations aren't enough to kill her.
To destroy the corruption she herself must be willing to let herself be rejected by one she actually has feelings. For she is that corruption, and in truth, Jenell doesn't really want to lose the single spark of life within her. Not even her bonded, Frost knows. And she's terrified of the one that did find out. That seventh arrangement found out what she really was, and its power still lurks in the upper reaches, haunting her, taunting the cowardly child thats desperate for someone to accept her, for who she truly is.
However, this all is in the past. Now? She's taken a break from her inner emotions and from the stress of her normal life. For now, her home is safe her people fine, and her life is quite remarkable.
The pain from her earlier life isn't always hidden under the surface. There are still times where one can see there is an inner doubt. But more so then ever, the childhood she'd lost is reasserting itself, with the help of two companionable friends.
Introduction:
The young woman woke slowly, casting a glance at the fire crackling in the hearth nearby. Giving an ear-splitting yawn she rose to her feet. Could it really be considered to be a crime to have stayed up all night toying with the flames?
Who knew, she'd enjoyed herself the past the few days. Now though, she didn't know what to do. The realms were at peace, for the most part, and she really wasn't needed as a healer currently. Maybe some of the others would be willing to go wandering for a few weeks or so.
A smile broke over her features as she looked outside, watching the dawn rays cluster on a steel blade as its wielder continued practicing. Her brown eyes sparked a soft passionate fire and she made her way down into the courtyard below. It wasn't often that they saw each other alone anymore, she was grateful for any chance.
