Name: Tai
Gender: Male
Age: 22
Height: 6"4'
Race: Human
Physical Description: Wind ruffled Raven black hair. His eyes are considered Sapphire blue, but one person claims that their the sky blue before the storm. He prefers to wear the robes of the Mystic. Mainly blue, darker on the bottom and lighter on the top, kimono style. Gold fringe lies around the edges and his chin length hair is often held away from his eyes with a copper strand of cloth.
Personality: Quiet. Rarely does he try and get in the affairs of others unless he really feels its a needed option. Only when someone he cares about it threatened will anyone actually see the dark side of him. He's haunted by the shadowed blood within him, doing everything possible to find a way to be within Light, but of course, one can't do everything. However, his actions, quiet and subtle as they are, can be as unpredictable as the magic he wields. One minute he can be laughing, and the next minute soulful eyes will be turned, questioning, studying you.
Specialties: Elemental Lightning, lock spells
Weaponry: Broadsword of lighter back then a battle one. Pair of daggers kept close by. At all cost keep him away from bows...you'll die laughing
History: Born the eldest son, though not eldest of a dark lord, Tai Salome's history is a mystery to most. His closest friends know that his family died serving the lord of Chaos and thats about it.
Tai grew up at a manor (with no name) and hated every life long day of it. He became aware of the resistance against Chaos at a young age, due to guards placed in each of the seven lord's home manors. He was the only one of his family who did no act of wrong against a mythic creature, whether by day, or in the long tormented shadows of the night. Not for lack of trying on his father's part of course.
Tai being eldest son was to take over the conquest, but the youthful boy was already hard set against the shadow. Oh, he got into trouble, but no more then any adventurous boy did.
It was his tenth year that brought him to the struggle he faces now. His father, furious with his son's plain desires of defiance had Tai dragged in the glowing red chains of Shadow before Chaos himself. It was there that he really began the struggle of dark and light that he faces now. A an eye within a pentagram, branded over his heart, is the only thing Chaos has needed to slowly begin to control him.
It wasn't until he was thirteen that he ran off and joined the mystic resistance against all that he'd once lived as. And while it took a few years for them to trust him, eventually he did join them.
His family, Mother, father and elder sister have been slain by his own guards and hands. While he still at times seeks out his younger twin brother, it was the only time that the darkness in his heart has got away with him.
But the years have begun to press their mark. And it can be hard even for a human to keep up hope when you see those around you slain or tortured in the Shadow's grasp. He's begun to wonder if what he's doing is even making a difference, and has seriously considered switching sides.
He has been plagued by dreams though. Sometimes of a young faerie maiden. Sometimes of a figure that can't be placed, bound forever by light and plagued by shadow.
At other times he's seen two figures, and their cat...and as of yet, these dreams have only just begun to pass.
Introduction:
The night was cold as he was pulled through fortress gates. How could he have been so foolish as to let this happen?
A glowing iron hovered in his vision, and then blinding pain.
The mystic stirred restlessly in his sleep as he lay there in the Fire-bird inn. Nightmares haunted him tonight, and yet again he couldn't break free.
A grip on his mind tightened as he sat within the council meeting. His eyes glanced at those about them. The Captain knew of his predicament if no one else did by now. He was lucky the man trusted him, else he would have been dead five years ago when he'd first come to join the resistance.
It was only days later, but it seemed like hours.
"Look I'm sorry...but I can't stay here."
"Why? Tai, we need you!" Jada had shrieked.
"I'm exactly the person you do NOT want around right now...Jada...please, don't make this harder then what it is."
He'd turned his Alka-tel elven bred mare, and left them.
Tai Salome woke with a start, staring out at the night sky. He didn't care! He wanted to return and help them, but he wouldn't risk their safety for his own need. He was better off here, away from hurting anyone he cared about. The storm that raged outside did little to bother him. And Shattered Time, his faithful mare for four years, wouldn't be troubled.
The magic in his blood sang with the humming of the power in the air, but he forced it down. Just because he was a mystic, and trained for the power, didn't mean he had to use it. Besides, he had work to do tomorrow.
